Ram Balachander 简介加拿大温莎大学副校长、教授,主要从事核技术传热,内燃机技术等领域研究。Ram Balachander教授著有《Bed Forms and Flow Mechanisms Associated with Dunes, Sediment Transport - Flow and Morphological Processes(ISBN: 978-953-307-374-3)2011;《Scour caused by Wall Jets, Sediment Transport(ISBN 980-953-307-557-5)2012等著作。在《Experimental Thermal and Fluid Science》、《Fluid & Structures》、《Int. J. Heat Mass Transfer》等SCI杂志发表论文50余篇。

报告主要内容

Turbulent shallow flows have a limited vertical extent in a horizontally unbounded domain;

The length scales in both the horizontal and transverse directions are much greater than the vertical length scale;

Shallow flows occur in nature as well as in engineered flows, e.g., in wide rivers, lakes, estuaries, shallow coastal waters, stratified flow, atmospheric flow, etc.
